2011 Pinot noir
Rich, voluptuous and ripe; aromas of fresh red and black cherry, spiced strawberry and raspberry pour out of the glass, followed closely by dried violets and potpourri, dry tobacco and tea leaves, black olives, smokey cedar, black and green pepper, and chocolate coated coffee beans. The layers of vanilla, baking spice, cloves and caramel finish to perfection and make it almost impossible to put down. The palate is smooth, ripe, and mouth coating. Dried black and red fruits dominate along with black olives and cracked black pepper, with ripe brown tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is long and focused, highlighted by dried dark fruits, layers of cedar, black pepper and dried tea leaves.
